Jesus Himself prayed and I know He is asking me to do so too..

I have been dwelling on the aspect of Prayer. Its been around 6 months when my friend and I have been praying for the well being of the Eunuch community. We pray that God works in this group to reveal Himself and the sacrifice Jesus gave on the cross for each of them. We used to pray using the verse Luke 10 vs 2 (part b); that the Lord of Harvest would send out workers into this 'eunuch' harvest field. We all know and keep repeating the verse, "harvest is plenty but workers are few". So, the need to pray sincerely and in faith that God will send out workers which includes us.
God has been pointing out how Nehemiah used to pray, moan and fast for his people in the book of Nehemiah. I kind of got the message that I should be doing the same for my close relatives, in particular. Most of the time, we as believers, sit with the statement that anyways "God is the one who chooses and changes people's hearts, so we don't have to do anything with our human efforts." We forget that He chose each and everyone to know Him. The difference that praying and fasting for somebody can bring is that God sees and values our tears when we beg or plead Him  for someone's soul. Prayers can change things, it can move God's heart when he sees our sincerity and love for others that He answers. Just like how Moses pleaded so many times before the Lord Almighty to forgive the Israelite when they kept disobeying Him during the great exodus. God reminded me... to Pray More!
The most recent is when I doubted our 6 months' prayer time for the Eunuch community. I was thinking to myself and getting annoyed that 'how can people expect to see things change so fast??' (that's because one or two people were asking us about it). Well, this happened only last Sunday that I wondered if our prayer will really be answered...the following Tuesday, my prayer partner text messaged me saying a thrilling story of what happened during her train journey to Mumbai.
The usual scene in the Indian trains are beggars, street singers and eunuchs begging and pestering the passengers for money. People get especially terrified with the eunuchs because they just touch the men when they are sleeping peacefully in the train berth! So they are forced to give them some money. But my friend only offered food to that eunuch, and she told him that she and 'her friend' i.e. me prays for their community every Monday. I am sure he was touched because it was surprising that he asked them to pray for him at that time itself. Praise God for opening an opportunity for my friend! People in the train got to witness the whole conversation and prayer happening!
I know God was telling me not to doubt and that our prayers wont go in vain!
Well for me, I know very well God wants me to pray for myself and my husband and the ministry we are doing in our home church. We sometimes get so exhausted that we argue on silly things. I know I have to pray for my relatives and continue to uphold the eunuch community in my prayers. I got another thought from God...how about any of you pray for the Traffic police in bangalore and other cities??
